How do I demonstrate my carbon footprint in my stool?
I'm doing my junior cert wood tech propject and for my practical project I have to make a stool. It says in the brief for the stool,
"You should demonstrate how you considered your carbon footprint in the design, selection of materials and in the processes used in the manufacture of the stool."
What exactly does this mean? My teacher wasn't really much help so any help from any one would be greatly appreciated. I need to get my report done over the easter holidays as it is due when I go back to school!

Use natural materials and also maybe look into re using materials, think about instead of using brand new wood use old wood. If you want to use plastics find old plastic because its better to reuse materials than to have some company pumping more pollution into the atmosphere. :S hope that makes any sense to you at all.

Carbon fiber bumper - light and right
The car's performance is judged by how fast it can accelerate at what top speed it can and other similar performance parameters. That gives you the possibility of taking the weight away from some components of the car in such a way that it does not adversely affect the stability of the car and yet makes it a little lighter. And one such way to do it is with the help of replacing your existing bumpers with carbon fiber bumpers. Of course till now I have only written about the benefits to the performance of the car but a carbon fiber bumper also looks very stylish and will enhance the looks of your car as well.
There is a high tech quality about carbon fiber products that gives a boost to the image of the larger product where they are used. The reason for this probably is that carbon fiber is very advanced technology and is used in high tech products such as aircrafts. Which is also a testimony to the fact that though they are light they are still very strong and dependable.
