LOOK Keo Elle pedals?
I'm in the market for road pedals. I've never had any before so I'm ok with the entry level kinds. I've looked at reviews for the Keo Classic, but none for the women's specific Keo Elle. I'm leaning towards this brand, but would like to know if anyone has ever had the female specific pedals before. Does it make a difference?
I'm male .. so can't say anything from experience.
However, based on the description (see link) these appear to be largely a marketing gimmick. Other than the colour and lower release pressure they don't appear to offer any advantage.
Colour is a perfectly good reason to choose the Elle -- if you like the LOOK pedal design. And lower release tension may be beneficial for a rider that is either very delicate or doesn't intend to race ... but doesn't seem like a good idea for anyone worried about inadvertent pedal disengagement.
Personally, I prefer free float and double side design of the Speedplay X pedals ... but pedals (like seats) are an area where everyone has their own opinion.
